I spent most of my day either sleeping or watching movies and tv shows. I also spent a good chunk of it sleeping in the middle of the day. At the very end of it I was conned into going out and shooting pool for 2 hours, give or take. I spent very little of it reflecting on the events of 10 years ago.
There have been countless tv specials, columns, photo essays and memorials today, as there...

Go My Favorite Sports Team Go!
Sporting events are perhaps the most polarizing forms of entertainment. Unlike a movie with a set protagonist and antagonist where you are clearly meant to root for one side sporting events offer two sides which can both be protagonists. Unless the Yankees or the Jets are playing, in which case they are always antagonists. It is for this reason that sports catch on so well. In a movie you can...

You may be curious as to my recent spat of rather long posts that look more like newspaper columns than updates. The idea behind it is that I have no idea what my next job will actually entail and it has been some time since I’ve actually had to sit down and write. So, in an effort to dust off my abilities I’ve taken to writing essays on things I am somewhat passionate about, or at...
The Great Transition
There are a lot of questions these days. When is the recession going to end? Will I have a job next month? Why are the Republicans willing to let the very people that vote for them die because they can’t afford health insurance? All of which are good questions, but there is one that keeps getting relegated to the back pages of the newspaper because people don’t seem to think...
Something, Something, Something, not quite...
Notice: I’m not revealing anything specific, BUT, if you are a fan of Blue Harvest, Star Wars, or Family Guy then you could very well figure out what I’m talking about. Be forewarned.
I just watched Something, Something, Something, Dark Side and I’m very content now. I will say that it is not as funny as Blue Harvest but it is still a must see for Star Wars fans. There are a...
America, give a little more respect (and money) to...
After reading SpellChecKing’s blog this morning I got to thinking a bit. Usually when I think I strain myself and usually I need a beer and a three week vacation to recover, but this one was rather straightforward if when you break it down. The United States is providing absolutely no incentive to go to college right now. Students must strive to stay motivated regardless of what is thrown...
Shotguns!
I really like shooting shotguns at clay pigeons. I’d apologize for such a simplistic post, but that’s really all I wanted to say. So take that Ross Perot.

Stop Your Cups From Running Around the Beirut...
We’ve all been there. Kicking ass at a game of Beirut when suddenly a cup on the back row slides off the table after being hit by a pong ball because there’s just a tiny bit of beer under it.
Well, as it turns out, there’s a way to stop that from happening without rigging up some crazy magnet system or cutting holes.
Oddly enough I was actually trying to make my table...

So I replaced the hard drive that I all but destroyed today. It is Time Machine compatible which I find a-m-a-z-i-n-g. So, I really don’t even have to think about it. That’s great, though it took nearly 8 hours to create the original backup file. I can’t possibly have that much crap can I?
Dear Digsby,
I just wanted to share with you why I will never use your service, even when you do finally release a Mac version. I gave you my e-mail address with the hopes that when your undeniably fantastic application was available for Mac that you would e-mail me telling me so. It was actually a pretty cool looking form, very simple, to the point and it looked good. At the bottom you wrote a little note...

So, obviously I’ve sucked at blogging lately. It probably has something to do with the fact that not much has changed, at all, but that’s just life. The more exciting news though is that Sam and I have started working on a new project. It is called Kredibull and it will blow your mind. Since your mind probably lacks something to blow, you’ll just have to settle for being...
Been a while
It’s been a while since I’ve posted but not for what I would call good reasons. I’ve been extremely busy, and yet incredibly unsuccessful. I’ve interviewed with a couple of companies so far, and I’ve been rejected by all of them so far. The prospect of returning to PA is troubling, but it’s a reality that I might have to face. It figures that my time of...
Insomnia
What keeps you up at night?
If I manage to fall asleep I’ll sleep through anything, but some nights I just can’t seem to hit the pillow the right way. Brain just won’t let me. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make some progress and my anxiety level will drop a bit. Also, with any luck I’ll be able to get my own place real soon with a matching bed.

I have an interview tomorrow, which is exciting. The job isn’t exactly fantastic, but it’s a job. Which is a lot better than where I was a month ago, so here’s to that.
I’m at a strange point right now. I’m trying to balance my core beliefs with my social needs and it’s really quite difficult.
Truth is, as much as I talk about being a single hermit for the...
1 week in the books
So, I’ve been in chicago for one week. Been kind of crazy, but things are well. Starting to feel the job jitters a little bit. I’ve applied to quite a few places but I’m not having much success. While I’m not that surprised, I’m also not happy about it. Though, I’ve got a few more tricks up my sleeve. I’ve met a couple of fun people and I’m...
12 hours...
I should most definitely be packing right now, but instead I’m going to write a blog entry.
With approximately 12 hours to go until I leave for Chicago I’ve become restless. Perhaps that is because I know how much I have to do yet, or perhaps it is simply pure excitement. Anxiety is building, and I can’t wait to get there. Perhaps my only dread is the 17 hour bus trip. ...
Closing Time
I spent the last weekend at Sam & Caitlin’s wedding in VT and I learned a couple of things.
Jews know how to have a great wedding (words I don’t understand are brilliant)
I really miss hanging out with Sam (Caitlin too I guess :P)
My family is slowly killing me
When I put all these things together, I thought to myself that I really need to get on the moving to Chicago thing. ...

Hoorazy for allergy meds!
I spent all day out on the river and I can still breathe, hooray!
In other news, I think the rest of the summer may not actually suck. Though if the weather could stay right where it is I’ll be ecstatic.
I learned something last night. Wives being embarrassed by their drunk husbands singing Karaoke (even when there’s no music playing) is hilarious, check it out.
The Real BU
My brother and I have a problem. He, and my sister, go to Bloomsburg University, I of course went to Boston University. So there is obvious confusion when someone in our house says BU. To that end it has become obvious that we need to decide who is BU and who is something else.
I’ve already come up with the answer, URLs. Boston University is BU.edu, Bloomsburg is BloomU.edu. So there...
Yay! I'm Number 22,278!
C'est la vie
I’ve realized that I’ve moved into the second and often deadly stage of personal blogging. This is the part where all the wit I’ve saved up for the last year or so has run out and I now actually have to come up with new and (hopefully) interesting things to share with the world on a somewhat regular basis lest I forget that the blog even exists, which is exactly how my last blog...

Stop It
I’m going to put this out there, and I’m terribly right. We have too many celebrities. That’s not exactly news, but here’s another reason: our news is dominated by celebrity deaths. If you go through the last year or so and counted every day that a ‘big’ celebrity died and was NOT posted all over the internet I suspect that number would be under 20. ...
Only in dreams
I apologize for no paragraph breaks, but I’m too lazy to edit it. So there.
So, I started off the dream at a modified floor hockey tournament. There were three ‘arenas’ one of which was a large ping pong table. I saw a lot of folks from High School there and they were very confused because I kept moving between games and couldn’t sit still. After getting bored with...
Bonnaroo: the perfect summer music spot
I wandered to Bonnaroo for 3 years; 2006, 2007 & 2008. Sadly this year I was unable to make it. Which is really quite disappointing, see, I can’t imagine a music festival that isn’t Bonnaroo. In the middle of the day there is not a spot within Centeroo more than 15 paces towards a show. Not only that, but whatever your musical taste you are going to find something, and...
Desk Folk
I was at my sister’s college orientation the other day and noticed something I found fairly amusing. There was this guy sitting at a desk on the phone writing something down. I didn’t think much of it as people do that rather often at work. What I didn’t know is that desk wasn’t his, in fact, he didn’t even work at the university. So when a university employee came up to him and said, “did you...

ABC Video Player, er, Skipper.
Ok, so, in my experience, there has been near unanimous panning of ABC’s video player. It seems to only work well for people directly connected to ABC’s servers with fiber optic cable. So today when I twitted to a friend about how she shouldn’t get sucked into it’s cruddiness I got a response from someone else on Twitter directing me to the new and ‘improved’...

– Ms. Phoebe Sexton in response to a photo of Tuesday night (ok, morning) that will probably eventually be leaked to the masses.
I just got a fun clock that tells me the temperature inside and outside as well as the weather. Sure, my computer could do all those things, but now I don’t even have to get out of bed. Lazy: 1, Hard-Work: still 0
I’m now working for a company called Extreme Adventure Travel Outfitters as a river guide. That’s right, get ready.

Boarding the 1885 DeLorean
I think it’d just be cool to wander around the country before there were cities and interstates everywhere. Just to be able to wander and discover things before they all became tourist attractions. Also, it’d be amazing to live in a time sans nuclear weapons.
